Burglary
|
| Our Crime for this week occurred on Friday,
January 13th 2012 at 406 Holmes Avenue (H.C. Blake Co.) here in
town. According to Huntsville Police, the offender jumped a fence
to gain entry to one of his vehicles by breaking out a window. The
offender comes back later and takes an air conditioning unit.
The offender appears to be a small frame
male who covers his head and face.

Burglary

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Sunday,
December 11th 2012 at 8575 Madison Blvd (Game Stop) in Madison.
According to Madison PD, the offenders pried open the back door
of the business. Once inside, the offenders stole several thousand
dollars worth of games and game consoles. After loading up their
vehicle, they sped away.
Video surveillance shows both offenders
dressed completely in black covering every part of their bodies.

Our Crime for this week occurred on
Friday, December 2nd 2011 at 2801 Memorial Parkway (Dillards)
here in town. According to Huntsville Police, the offenders entered
the store and began gathering large quantities of Polo clothing.
At this point, they started walking toward the store exit, they
looked around and started running from the store with the clothing.
Store security tackled one of the offenders in the parking lot,
where he dropped the clothing and ran away with the other 2 offenders.
They left in a silver Suzuki.
All 3 offenders appear to be B/Ms,
one was wearing a gray shirt and black Chicago hat, one was wearing
an Alabama shirt with a black knit cap and the third was wearing
a tan shirt with a hat and glasses.

Fraudulent Use of
Credit Card

| Our Crime for this week occurred
on Wednesday, November 16th 2011 at Kay Jewelers (300 Bridge Street)
here in Huntsville. According to Huntsville Police, the offender
entered the business and began selecting over $13,000 worth of jewelry.
He then presented a fraudulent credit card with a bogus name to
secure the merchandise.
Store surveillance shows the offender
throughout the store. He was described as a B/M, medium build,
clean cut.

Theft of Lost Property

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Saturday,
November 12th 2011 at 3501 North Memorial Parkway (Redstone Federal
Credit Union) here in town. According to Huntsville Police, the
victim went inside to conduct business. She placed an envelope on
the counter containing cash while the did her transaction. Moments
later she steps away, leaving the envelope behind and leaves the
building. A couple of minutes later, the offender walks up and acts
as if he is doing business, sees the envelope, takes it and leaves
the credit union.
The offender is seen on surveillance
taking the envelope and leaving the building. He is described
as a W/M, wearing a white t shirt, khaki shorts and a Braves baseball
cap on backwards.

Our Crime for this
week occurred on Thursday, October 13th 2011 at 601 Monroe Street
(Greyhound Bus Lines) here in town. According to Huntsville Police,
the offender entered the business before it closed and hid himself
inside the building. Shortly after closing, he retrieved a ladder
and turned the lobby cameras away from showing him inside the
building. He then proceeded to break into the office through an
old baggage claim door. A camera inside the office area captured
the offender stealing money from the register.
The offender appears to
be a B/M, shaved head, lazy left eye with tattoos on
his inner forearms.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Monday,
September 19th 2011 at 2009 Drake Avenue (Kroger) here in town.
According to Huntsville Police, the victim stood at the service
desk making an exchange and laid his wallet on the counter. He stepped
over to get a shopping cart, returned to the counter and his wallet
was missing. Store video surveillance shows the offender taking
the victims wallet.
The offender was described as a W/M,
early 20s, close cropped hair, wearing a white Southpole
tshirt.

Our Crime for this week occurred on
Sunday, September 4th 2011 at 2200 Sparkman Drive (Wal-Mart) here
in town. According to Huntsville Police, the offender entered
the store and pushed a shopping cart to electronics. The offender
then selected a television and went to the garden area. At this
point he places the TV, next to the fence and cuts the wire. He
then exits out the front of the store, drives around and takes
the TV through the cut fence and exits the area.
The offender was seen on store surveillance.
He appears to be an older W/M, wearing jeans and a sleeveless
black tshirt.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Sunday,
September 4th 2011 in the 9300 Block of Madison Blvd. According
to Madison Police, the victim was riding his bicycle westbound on
Madison Blvd, when he was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle immediately
left the scene.
Witnesses advised the offending vehicle
appeared to be a dark green Ford pickup. Please contact the following

Passing Counterfeit

|
| Our Crime for this week occurred on Friday,
September 2nd 2011 at 15 Hughes Road (Conoco/Phillips Service Station)
in Madison. According to Madison Police, the offender entered the
business and purchased an item for $1.83. He presented a $100 bill
to the cashier and received his change back. Upon closer inspection
of the bill, it was determined to be counterfeit.
The offender was seen on store surveillance.
He was described as a W/M, dark hair, wearing jeans and a white
shirt. He was driving a large, white delivery truck without any
markings.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Tuesday,
August 30th 2011 at 2726 Carl T. Jones Drive (Hobby Lobby) here
in town. According to Huntsville Police, the offenders entered the
business and began placing items in a shopping cart. Moments later,
the offenders went down an aisle with no one around and began shoving
the merchandise up their shirts and down their pants.
The offenders were seen on store surveillance.
It shows a B/M and B/F wearing dark pants and tshirts.

Robbery

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Monday,
August 22nd 2011 at 7635 Wall Triana Hwy (D&D Grocery) in Madison
County. According to Madison County Sheriff Department Investigators,
the offender entered the store brandishing a handgun and immediately
fired a round into the ceiling. He then approached the cashier,
holding him at gunpoint while the money was taken from the register.
After taking over $800 from the register, the offender fled the
store.
The offender was described as a W/M,
around 6 in height, wearing jeans and a long sleeve black
shirt.

Thursday, August 18th 2011 at 3319 Memorial Parkway (Gibsons BBQ)
here in town. According to Huntsville Police, the offender(s)
threw a rock through the door to gain entry. Once inside, the
offender(s) stole a briefcase containing a credit card. Minutes
later, the stolen card was attempted to be used at Southbank and
Wells Fargo banks in Madison.
Video surveillance shows a W/M and W/F
wearing sunglasses and caps to try and hide their identity.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Thursday,
August 4th 2011 at 325 Slaughter Road (Madison Academy) here in
town. According to Huntsville Police, the victim dropped her child
off for school and left her vehicle unlocked while she went inside.
When she came out, she noticed her purse had been taken from her
vehicle.
Minutes later, the offender is seen
at a local ATM using her debit card (PIN # was in her purse).
He appears to be a B/M, gray t shirt, driving a red pickup.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Monday,
July 18th 2011 at Old Madison Pike/Slaughter Road (Indian Creek
Greenway). According to Huntsville Police, the victim was walking
the greenway when her vehicle was broken into and her purse was
stolen. Minutes later while making a police report at her local
bank, she was advised one of her credit cards had already been used
at a local Wal-Mart and Target for over $2,300 dollars.
Store surveillance shows a W/F with
very short hair using the stolen credit card.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Saturday,
July 16th 2011 at 7692 Hwy 72 West (T J Maxx) here in town. According
to Huntsville Police, the offender(s) apparently stole the victims
wallet from her purse which was lying in the shopping cart. The
victim advised she believes it was stolen as a female asked her
for some help about a dress. Shortly thereafter, the victims
credit cards were being used at the Apple store in Bridge street
for over $6,000. Days later another victim had her wallet stolen
in the same manner while at Ross department store. Again, shortly
thereafter, her credit card was used at Best Buy for the purchase
of 2 laptops ($2,116 dollars) and at the Apple store again for over
$3,800.
Both store surveillance videos show
the offenders to be Hispanic, male and female, approximately 25
years of age. The male appears to be around 59 weighing
around 180 lbs. The female appears to be around 55,
weighing around 130 lbs.

Unlawful Breaking/Entering
a Vehicle

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Thursday
July 14th 2011 at 3750 Hwy 53 (ABC Store) here in town. According
to Huntsville Police, the offender removed copper tubing from a
Dean & Son Plumbing truck and placed it into his vehicle. Prior
to stealing the copper, the offender purchased an item inside the
ABC store.
The offender was described as a W/M,
stocky build, approximately 58, weighing around 210
lbs. He also has tattoo sleeves on both arms down to his elbows.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Monday,
July 4th 2011 at 4880 University Drive (LaQuinta Inn) here in town.
According to Huntsville Police, the victim had his wallet taken
from his room. Minutes later, the offender was seen on video surveillance
using the victims debit card. The victim had left his pin number
alongside his card.
The offender appears to be a W/F, long
blond hair. She is being driven to the ATM by a B/M in a red sedan.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Wednesday,
June 29th 2011 at 3121 Drake Avenue (Liberty 2000) here in town.
According to Huntsville Police, the victim offered to give the offender
a ride, while his wallet laid in the console. After dropping the
offender off, the victim realized his debit card was gone. Shortly
thereafter, the offender was seen on store surveillance at Wal-Mart
using the stolen card.
The offender appears to be a W/F, mid
20s, approximately 54, weighing around 150 lbs,
with curly brown hair.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Wednesday,
May 18th 2011 at 700 Monroe Street (Von Braun Center) here in town.
According to Huntsville Police, an offender broke into the operations
office and took possession of 2 VBC radios. Shortly thereafter,
a security guard from the VBC noticed one of the stolen radios hanging
from a guys belt while he was standing in line at Burger King. Upon
confronting the man about the radio, he took off the radio and left
it with the security guard and left the store.
The offender was described as a W/M,
around 6 in height, wearing dark clothing and a red baseball
cap.

| Our Crime for this week occurred on Wednesday,
January 19th 2011 at 6140 University Drive (Wal-Mart) here in town.
According to Huntsville Police, the offender entered the store and
placed hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise into her shopping
cart. The offender then bagged up most of the merchandise and pushed
it from the store without paying. 2 Wal-Mart employees attempted
to stop the offender, but she kept walking and placed the merchandise
into a Gray Blazer and drove away.
The offender is described as a W/F,
long black hair, gray sweater and jeans.

Criminal Mischief

Our Crime
for this week occurred on Saturday, January 4th 2011 at 130 Park
Square Lane in Madison (Craig and Steve Hogan YMCA). According to
Madison Police, the offender drove behind the newly opened building,
destroying fresh landscaping and sod. The offender appears to show
interest in the heating and air conditioning systems.
The offender appears to be a W/M, driving a Red Chevrolet Colorado
truck, 4 door, with dark tinted windows. The truck has many distinguishing
features which makes it unique.

Murder
|
| Our Crime for this week occurred during
the hours of Thursday, July 22nd 2010 around 7 p.m., through Friday
morning, July 23rd around 7 a.m. According to Huntsville Police,
the victim, Dr. Herbert Gray was found dead by an employee coming
into work that morning just past 8 a.m. at 102 Lowry St. (Graytronix).
The victims vehicle was later located in another part of town. |
